Big 12 2020 Preview

6. TCU

Projected record – 7-5

Season preview

TCU may have lost a lot from the 2019 team, but they have pieces returning for plenty of optimism. Max Duggan returns and looks like he can develop into a future star in college football. Joining him in 2020 will be five-star RB, Zach Evans. Evans was the highest recruit Gary Patterson has signed during his time at TCU. He should be an immediate difference-maker on offense.

The defense was hit pretty hard by the NFL and graduation. However, they have two of the best safety’s in the country and a stud LB in Garret Wallow. TCU has always been a top team defensively in the Big 12. 2020 should be no different.

The Horned Frogs missed out on a bowl game last season, but that looks like it will change in 2020. While a minor improvement is likely, TCU isn’t far off from breaking through. They lost six of their seven games by one score in 2019. If the offense can hit its stride in year two with Max Duggan, this team has potential to break into the top four of the conference.
