Texas Tech 2020 Season Preview: Matt Wells’ Take Two

It’s safe to say 2019 was disappointing for Texas Tech. Their 2-7 conference record saw them finish second to last in the Big 12 for the second consecutive year. As we head into 2020, head coach Matt Wells is feeling optimistic he can turn things around in his second year. Before we dive into our Texas Tech 2020 season preview let’s look at some of the key roster changes happening in 2020.

  • Losses: Jett Duffey (QB), Ta’Zhawn Henry (RB), Douglas Coleman (S), Jordyn Brooks (LB), Broderick Washington (DL)
  • Returners: Alan Bowman (QB), TJ Vasher (WR), Erik Ezukanm (WR), Eli Howard (DL), Riko Jeffers (LB)
  • Newcomers : Loic Fouonji (WR), Chadarius Townsend (RB/WR)
