Baylor 2020 Season Preview: Dealing With Turnover

Baylor is coming off one hell of a season. In 2019 the Bears went 11-3 and were one win away from the playoffs and their first Big 12 championship. As we head into 2020, Baylor is dealing with concerning turnover in both their defensive players and coaching staff. Can they handle this turnover and make another run for the Big 12 championship and maybe even the playoffs?

Before we go through our 2020 preview take a look at some of the roster changes happening this year. Keep in mind, this shortlist covers my key players leaving, returning, or coming in.

  • Losses: Denzel Mims (WR), Sam Tecklenberg (OL), JaMycal Hasty (RB), Chris Platt (WR)
  • Returners: Charlie Brewer (QB), Terrel Bernard (LB), John Lovett (RB), Trestan Ebner (RB), Raleigh Texada (CB)
  • Incoming Freshman: James Sylvester (LB), Lorando Johnson (CB)
