TCU just picked up their most recent commit from Texas product, Jacoby Jackson. The son of former TCU running back, Cedric Jackson.
Jacoby Jackson is a three star from Mansfield Summit out of Austin. He is the fifth commit in the 2021 class that ranked 92nd in the country and last in the Big 12.
While Jacoby Jackson isn’t going to send TCU flying up the rankings, he is a solid get for the Horned Frogs. Jackson is 6’6 330 pounds and unsurprisingly has a highlight tape full of tossing players around.
Jackson has the size but will need to work on developing and improving his technique at the next level. As the players get bigger and more skilled, he won’t be so physically imposing. Throwing his weight around will only get him so far. He also struggles with speed rushers and has a tendancy to get beat inside.
With a Senior year ahead of him and plenty of time to develop, Jackson could become a solid contributor on the TCU offensive line.
