Texas Tech has been battling SEC schools for JUCO DE, Shemar Pearl. Texas Tech, Missouri and South Carolina have been trying to land Pearl who will be making his decision on June 18th.
Pearl was originally committed to Missouri out of high school before going the JUCO route. While he won’t be eligible until the 2021 season, he will be announcing his decision on his birthday and decide where to finish his college career.
Shemar Pearl was a three star recruit out of high school and held offers from Missouri, Baylor and Alabama. The Texas high school product would be another great step for Texas Tech.
The pass rush has been an issue for the Matt Wells and a position of need. Pearl finished last season at Garden City C.C. with 22 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks and four pass break ups.
