Baylor extended an offer to 3-Star DT Dakote Doyle on May 22nd and less than 10 days later they received a commitment.
According to 247 Sports, the 6-1, 270 lbs recruit is the no. 87 DT and no. 21 recruit in MO for 2021. Doyle chose the Bears over Michigan State, Washington State, and a number of Group-of-Five schools.
In an interview with 247 Sport’s, Doyle’s head coach said, “Dakote is pound for pound the best athlete on the football team,”. For more on that interview check out 247 Sports’ post here.
While Doyle is Baylor’s first defensive tackle commit for 2021, he’s not the first defensive lineman. Doyle joins SDE’s Cooper Lanz, and Sam Carrell in a class that is now ranked 20th best in the nation and 2nd in the Big 12 conference according to 247 sports.
