Texas Rips Off Oklahoma’s Recruiting Swag

You know what they say, if you can’t beat them, join them. Texas took that advice as they pretty much all but copied Oklahoma’s recruiting swag yesterday.

Oklahoma’s Recruiting Swag

Earlier this year OU launched one of the most unique and well received social media campaigns in college football. Oklahoma’s social media team worked tirelessly to build oudna.com and provide each new recruit with their own logo and short video. CFB fans and the media loved it.

Apparently Texas loved it to. Below is Texas’ attempt at what the Sooners did.

It’s not totally fair to say no one can ever make a video and or make logos for their recruits but this just seemed so blatant. I’m not the only one who noticed it, Texas got crushed in their Twitter comments. While this is pretty lame of Texas, I want to remind everyone to treat the recruits with respect, they are kids who are making a very serious decision.

Horns down.
