Some of the best players in the country headed down to Frisco for The Opening. If some of the best quarterback recruits in the country in attendance, it was a lesser-known recruit that took home MVP honors.
CJ Stroud, who is considered a 3-star recruit, led his 7-on-7 named Team Savage to a 34-6 championship over Team Drip. Stroud completed 81-percent of his passes with twelve touchdowns.
Stroud only had 13 offers coming into the event but that number will likely grow over the next few weeks. With offers from Michigan State, Utah and Washington State, CJ Stroud wasn’t a total unknown. Oregon has also expressed interest but hasn’t offered him yet.
