Phil Jurkovec Leaving Notre Dame

News just broke that the former top 100 overall player according to 247 Sports has entered the transfer portal. Jurkovec had spent two seasons at Notre Dame and never had more than some mop up duty.

Notre Dame sophomore quarterback Phil Jurkovec has entered his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal and will look to leave Notre Dame after just two seasons. Jurkovec came to Notre Dame as a highly touted quarterback from Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine Richland, but he was not able to crack the starting lineup at Notre Dame.

Jurkovec had plenty of potential but it isn’t surprising to hear he wants to move on. Once Book announced he would be returning, it all but solidified Jurkovec as a backup again.

There hasn’t been any news on where he may land but I would lean towards Penn State. He played his high school football in Pennsylvania and his parents loved Penn State. He was also heavily recruited by the Nittany Lions.

  1. I’m so sick of Brian Kelly. To let Phill leave is insane. Absolutely the QB ND has had since Quinn. Thi’s kid can pick any college to go to in America. Way to blow it again BK
