Jayden Daniels Named Starter At Arizona State

Arizona State Sun Devils, named true freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels starting quarterback for this season, head coach Herman Edwards decided on Monday night. Daniels will be the first true freshman quarterback to start at Arizona State in school history.

Daniels is listed at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, many people question his size about playing at the Division 1 level. During spring ball practices Daniels beat out Dillon Sterling-Cole, Joey Yellen, and Ethan Long. Yellen is another true freshman and will be Daniels back up.

Jayden Daniels can make quick decisions and is safe with the football. He is a dual-threat quarterback, who can win with his legs and his arm. It will be interesting to see how Daniels will do this season. I, for one, will be watching.
