Tennessee just made a solid addition to their 2020 recruiting class.
— Darion Williamson (@d_dub4_) July 18, 2019
Darion Walliamson is a 6′ 3″ 195lbs athlete from Hayward High School in West Tennessee. Williamson has played both WR and and DE. In 2018, he had 10 catches for 150 yards and 70 tackles.
247sports.com has Williamson as a 3 Star recruit overall and no. 32 recruit in the state of Tennessee.
According to his high school coach, this is only the beggining for Williamson.
“Just the time I’ve been there, he learns the game really fast on both sides of the ball. He’s obviously got great length. But what I would say about him on offense, he’s able to get in and out of breaks, really explosive. He’s really explosive in and out of breaks with his length and size.” – Chris Smith Hayward High Head Coach
For now we aren’t sure what side of the ball Williamson will be playing for the Vols. His previous coach sees him at WR and to be honest so do I.
“He really attacks the football unlike a lot of receivers that I’ve seen. He’s definitely the home-run-style receiver.” – Chris Smith Hayward High Head Coach
Only time will tell if Darion Williamson will live up to the hype. Based on his size and athleticism, I could see him making some noise for the Vols.
