Oklahoma Players Continue To Support Alex Grinch’s Defense

Since his arrival Alex Grinch has been making some changes to Oklahoma’s defense. I’ve already discussed why I think Alex Grinch Is The Answer For Oklahoma, and during Big 12 Media day Grinch recieved even more support.

On Monday, Red shirt senior defensive end, Neville Gallimore, described the transition to Grinch’s defense as smooth.

“I love it. I’m not really a fan of the people that are always gonna tell me how great of a job I’m doing..You need someone who’s gonna give you constructive criticism, somebody who’s gonna tell you when it’s right and when it’s wrong, tell you when it’s wrong.” – Neville Gallimore Defensive End OU

This supports my idea that Grinch is already laying the foundation of a winning culture through competition and “tough love”. Having the support of an all Big 12 honorable mention who recorded 50 total tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in the 2018-2019 season says a lot. Clearly, Gallimore plays a large role on that defense. His support for Grinch will likely resonate with the rest of the team if it hasn’t already.

We’ll get a chance to see Alex Grinch’s defense on September 1st against Houston. I’ve been hyping up this defense quite a bit – here’s your one chance Grinch don’t let me down.

Boomer, Sooner.
