Joe Moorhead has made the most of the summer by landing four 4-star recruits. With two of these falling in the Top 300, the Bulldogs have a top 20 recruiting class for 2020. Moorhead is heading into his second season and is looking to add quality players he brought in.
Jo’Quavious Marks, RB, ranks 171st in the 2020 class and the 14th overall running back. At 5’10” and a 4.60 40-yard dash, Marks is a noteworthy signing as Alabama and Auburn had interest in him too. He committed on May 20th, 2019.
Lideatrick Griffin, ATH, is the other Top 300 recruit for Starkville and ranks 249th overall. Also, at 5’10”, he provides a versatile pass catching option slotting out wide or out of the backfield. Griffin had an offer from Auburn but chose to remain in Mississippi. He is the 4th overall prospect from Mississippi and committed on June 21st, 2019.
Dillon Johnson, RB, stands at 6’0” and runs a 4.56 40-yard dash. Marks and he can provide as a dynamic duo in the backfield. Johnson committed on June 21st, 2019 to Miss St over Oregon.
Jordan Davis, DE, is a JUCO transfer from Copiah-Lincoln C.C. where he lined up as a weak-side pass rusher. Listed at 6’5” and 249 lbs, he was the sought-after transfer on the market. He decommitted from Tennessee to join Moorhead’s squad on July 5th, 2019.
