The Saints take on Tampa Bay this Sunday and it is a much needed bounce back game. After suffering their first loss since week one against Dallas last Thursday, the Saints need to show some growth. The loss isn’t the end of the world, it happens in the NFL, but you need to fix your mistakes and continue to grow.
New Orleans was getting hot at the right time and absolutely smashing everyone in their way. They came back down to Earth last week and now it is time to show everyone who you are again.
The offense needs to bounce back but that has never been an issue in the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era. The defense has been lights out the last few weeks and Thursday was no different. But this is one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. We were all witness to it week one.
Now is the time for New Orleans to finish off the rest of their schedule and push for the number one seed in the NFC. The Rams have to travel Chicago Sunday which could very easily have the Rams headed home with a loss. The Saints are a half game back because they won the head to head. The Dallas game should have been enough to fire the Saints up and turn a corner (https://irishfb.com/2018/12/03/the-cowboys-loss-was-a-blessing-in-disguise/) New Orleans has looked like the real deal all year, letting the Bucs hang around could cause doubt.
The offense should be firing on all cylinders again and look for a revamped Saints team to run Tampa Bay out of the stadium. They are arguably the best team in the NFL and it is time to remind everyone why. Proving last week was a fluke will go a long way to keeping the confidence high in New Orleans.
