Irish in the League: Week 11

Notable news and highlights of ND alums playing in the NFL. Also check out the start of It is Officially USC Hate Week

Ronnie Stanley:  Stanley dealt with an ankle injury all game, leaving the field for the sidelines three different times.  He was questionable to even start the game.  However, he was still part of an offensive line that helped the team rush for a total of 265 yards. Starting the rookie Lamar Jackson was a huge boost to the rushing game and it showed with the entire backfield rushing for big yards in a win over the Bengals.

Josh Adams:  From being a Heismen hopeful a year ago, to going undrafted after an injury, Adams had a great game as he starts to find his stride with the Eagles.  Unfortunately the Eagle couldn’t keep it close so they had to abandon the run game, so he only finished with 7 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Adams also had 3 catches for 19 yards.

Golden Tate:  Tate struggled on Sunday, as did all of the Eagles passing offense.  Considering how much they were down all game, Tate was unable to find a lot garbage time receptions.  He finished the game with 5 catches for 48 yards.  He led the team in both catches and yards, however those numbers are underwhelming considering how much the Eagles were down,  and had to throw the ball.

Kyle Rudolph:  Rudolph was quiet in a matchup against a tough Bears defense, catching just two passes for 13 yards.  He is on a team with a lot of wide reciever weapons, so even on his best day Kyle struggles to see the targets other TE’s see on a consistent basis.

Harrison Smith: Smith racked up 7 total tackles, second total on the Vikings defense.  He was involved in a controversial play on Bears QB Mitch Trubisky.  This isnt his first hit of this kind, so he could be looking at a fine from the league.

Tyler Eifert:  Still recovering from his gruesome injury in week 4, Eifert had this to share this weekend:

Quenton Nelson: Nelson continue to show he is one of, if not, the best guard in the NFL.
